Logan Webb put up seven zeros and entered the 8th having thrown only 78 pitches and leading 3-0. Alas, he gave up a two-run homer to Pete Alonso to end his night, but it was another impressive start. He struck out eight in his 7-1/3 and got twelve ground ball outs. Tony Watson finished the frame. Jarlin Garcia got the call in the 9th and he put a runner on but got two outs. Dominic Leone whiffed Kevin Pillar to end it. Tommy La Stella put the Giants on the board in the 1st with a two-run homer and Evan Longoria added a solo shot in the 7th.
