The San Francisco Giants have been hit hard with injuries early in the season, but the team did get some good news on Wednesday when it activated closer Mark Melancon off the 10-day disabled list.
The Giants didn’t end up needing Melancon as they fell 6-1 to the Dodgers, but the closer will be available on the team’s upcoming road trip to St. Louis and Chicago.
