Watch: HOF Yaz throws first pitch to SF Giants grandson

The Yaz lovefest continued last night at Fenway Park. Prior to the Red Sox-Giants game on Wednesday, Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski threw out the ceremonial first pitch to his grandson, Giants rookie Mike Yastrzemski.

Introduced as "the greatest living Red Sox player," the 80-year-old Yaz sprightly walked across the diamond and embraced his grandson to a standing ovation. He then threw a beautifully placed strike to Mike, who was crouching behind home plate.

A first-ballot Baseball Hall of Famer, the elder Yaz played his entire 23-year career with the Boston Red Sox.
