The Giants may have the worst Double-A team in all of minor league baseball, but the Richmond (Va.) Flying Squirrels don’t go down without at least a semblance of a fight.
Like Monday night, when both third base prospect Jonah Arenado and manager Willie Harris were ejected after a display of histrionics that would have made Billy Martin proud.
There was nothing minor league about the way both Arenado and Harris reacted to being thrown out of a 2-0 home loss to the first-place Bowie Baysox (Orioles).
Arenado, the 24-year-old younger brother of Rockies All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado, barked at the base umpire after a Bowie batter was hit to force in the game’s first run in the seventh inning and was tossed.
