Now that’s more like it. Last week, the National League Player of the Week was Dylan Cease of the San Diego Padres, all because he pitched a no hitter. My curmudgeonly fan bias still scoffed because sitting right there was Tyler Fitzgerald, who from July 21-28 went 12-for-32 with 5 home runs, a double, a triple, and 9 RBI (.375/.444/.938 in 36 PA). Thankfully, Major League Baseball rectified this somewhat understandable mistake with NL Rookie of the Month. Look at this cool as heck banner:
