Six pitchers subdued the Rockies and the Giants banged out four doubles and a homer to take the second game in Colorado. Sean Hjelle had a much better outing than last time, pitching the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings and yielding two runs on six hits. He got six ground ball outs including a couple of well-timed double plays. John Brebbia opened and pitched a scoreless 1st and Tyler Rogers, looking more like himself these days, got five ground ball outs in his two scoreless frames. Thomas Szapucki relieved Hjelle and gave up a run in the 8th as the Rockies pushed for a comeback but Yunior Marte and Jarlín García combined to get the last three outs in the 9th.
