We’ve known for a while that roster moves would be coming soon for the San Francisco Giants. A wave of injuries brought up a wave of young players, and most (all?) of them have impressed in some form or fashion. But proven veterans are usually going to get their spots back eventually, and so it was clear the team would have some choices to make. Both manager Bob Melvin and president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi have spoken in recent weeks about a desire to blend the up-and-coming talent with the veterans, and now’s when we’re going to start seeing that.
