The San Francisco Giants offered up some injury updates on Monday, before beating the Washington Nationals to get back to .500 at long last. And as is usually the case with these things, some of the news is encouraging and some not so much.
On the happy side, the Giants announced that pitcher Tristan Beck will start a rehab assignment with AAA Sacramento on Thursday. We really hadn’t heard much about Beck, who was expected to be a part of the Giants rotation this year, but was shut down early in Spring Training, and underwent surgery in early March to deal with an aneurysm in his arm.
