Top MLB insider: SF Giants still may not fire Farhan Zaidi after 2024 disaster

An absolute disaster of a season for the San Francisco Giants seemed like it might lead to the Giants finally parting ways with president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi — the architect behind what will almost assuredly be three straight missed postseasons for San Francisco. But according to the Athletic’s longtime MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, front office changes “seem unlikely” for the Giants, among others.

“The biggest issue, though, is that many teams face minimal financial pressure, the kind of pressure that would motivate a business to act,” Rosenthal wrote.
