The San Francisco Giants updated the injury status of three players on Wednesday: catcher Aramis Garcia, and right-handed pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Reyes Moronta.
Samardzija is perhaps the most important, as he’s set to throw five Alternate Training Site innings on Thursday and should be about ready to return, if the Giants want to make room for him.
But most exciting is Moronta, who pitched one inning at Sacramento on Wednesday.
