Hello and happy Thursday.
Wednesday was a sad day for baseball, and for the San Francisco Giants, as Dick Tidrow died at the age of 74.
Tidrow, who died unexpectedly, was many things.
He was a 13-year MLB pitcher who won two World Series championships.
He was the owner of a mustache that rivaled Burt Reynolds’.
He was a San Francisco native who attended high school and junior college in Hayward.
And, for the last 27 years, he was a member of the Giants organization. Tidrow joined the Giants in 1994 as a scout, and quickly became special assistant to the general manager, and then director of player personnel.
