Time for one last take on Tuesday night’s kerfuffle of a brawl. This time, told hilariously from the perspective of Andrew McCutchen’s experience as an outfielder during a baseball brawl:
I went back and watched, and sure enough, he’s almost the last guy to get there. He compares an outfielder arriving to a brawl to a kid arriving late to a birthday party: the other kids are already wet and eating cake and thus FOMO is born.
McCutchen’s closing remarks are ones I agree with completely, though. “Let’s just play baseball, not...fight.”
