The toughest play in baseball...for some reason

Logan Webb sailed through the first four innings. He allowed just one base runner on a single up the middle with two outs in the 3rd. Miami had hit nothing but bowling balls, nine balls in play, eight ground outs. Webb struck out four and needed just 46 pitches to walk back to the dugout with a 2-0 lead going into the 5th.

And the winds should’ve been just as fair in the 5th. Griffin Conine’s grounder in the hole deflected off Tyler Fitzgerald for a leadoff single, but Webb continued to pound the zone and force swings, eliciting weak contact on tough pitches.
