SAN FRANCISCO — Retiring Giants manager Bruce Bochy believes he’s leaving the best job in baseball.
“With a storied franchise that has such a great history to it, a beautiful ballpark, a beautiful city, beautiful fans, there’s not a better place to manage in baseball,” Bochy said Tuesday. “I’m convinced of that.”
The Giants will soon know what kind of candidates the job will attract. With less than a week left in the regular season, the organization is beginning to turn its attention toward a new era.
Who has the qualifications to replace Bochy? The ties to president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi to secure an interview?
