There’s an old adage that goes: “You can’t please everyone all the time.” But whoever coined that phrase clearly didn’t consider the San Francisco Giants’ offseason.
Somehow, someway, the Giants managed an offseason that provided something for everyone. From superfans to haters, Farhan Zaidi believers to Zaidi doubters and casual observers to the apathetic fringe, this past winter gave every section of the fan base reason to believe their opinions are right — the hope of a more exciting team and a potential playoff run for some, and the reinforcement of beliefs that the front office and ownership are the biggest roadblocks to the team’s success for others.
