As we enter the final week of the year, we’re not just ending another season of Giants baseball, but an entire decade of Giants baseball. Some may say that’s an arbitrary use of round numbers — though one could argue nowhere is that art more celebrated than in baseball (see: hitting .300, winning 20 games, knocking in 100 runs, etc.) — but since it’s been the best decade in San Francisco Giants history, it seems worth noting.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget we’re still in the decade which will be remembered so fondly as the golden age of Giants baseball.
