With rumors flying that the San Francisco Giants have made some players available in trade, it’s probably a signal that the team doesn’t have the same rose colored view of the overwhelming odds against them as a lot of their most ardent fans. That’s okay. The Giants selling at this year’s trade deadline would wind up being a solid way of salvaging 2024.
Jim Bowden is a very shaky source for a lot of rumor reporting, but this morning on Sirius XM’s Power Alley show on MLB Network Radio, he described this year’s trade market as a seller’s market — which, look, I’m sure that’s the case most of the time — a very good outcome for the Giants.
