The Giants beat the Rockies this afternoon in San Francisco for their 76th win. Alex Wood pitched well, throwing six scoreless, but ran into trouble in the 7th. With two out, two on, two in, and a one-run lead reliever Dominic Leone gave up a hit but LaMonte Wade threw out catcher Elias Diaz trying to score. A two-run rally in the bottom half gave Tyler Rogers and Jake McGee sufficient cushion and they got the final six outs unscathed. Tommy La Stella had three hits--his two-run double in the 5th was the big blow.
