Spring Training is in full swing, and the season is sneaking right up on us. The San Francisco Giants are only 25 days away from their first game of the year, and while I couldn’t be more excited, I’m also quite enjoying the annual treat that is Spring Training (though I’d be enjoying it more if we could, you know, watch most of the games).
As I caution with annoying and alarming regularity, there’s only so much that one can gain from Spring Training statistics. Last spring, for instance, the Giants had eight players with at least 20 at-bats and an OPS greater than 1.
