By now you’ve probably seen the main talking points from the San Francisco Giants end of season press conference with manager Gabe Kapler and president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi. They’re justifiably pleased with a franchise record-setting 107-win season, and want to run it back, while still recognizing that they can’t stagnate. Buster Posey will be back if he wants to be; talks are ongoing with Brandon Belt; Kris Bryant is probably out of their price range. The rotation will be the biggest offseason priority.
That’s the bulk of it, but it’s still fun and meaningful to hear the words directly from Kapler and Zaidi, and to hear their thoughts on the smaller talking points.
