Instead of taking a poll or lamenting the latest bit of Giants’ misfortune, I figured I’d make this morning’s BP more of a gathering, so here’s someone’s home video of going to see the Cardinals play the Giants at Candlestick Park in 1967.
And here’s the box score for the game. You’ll notice that Roger Maris was a pinch hitter and that Willie Mays started the game. This also offers footage of Candlestick before it was reconfigured for football, something I think I’ve only ever seen once or twice before, and certainly never in beautiful 8mm color and in motion.
