PHOENIX - Kyle Jensen, a 28-year-old Diamondbacks rookie, grew up in Contra Costa, still lives near Walnut Creek and starred at St. Mary's College. He was All-West Coast Conference as a sophomore and junior. And his coolest memory from Moraga was a basketball game.
"One year we stormed the court when we beat Gonzaga when they were a top-five team," Jensen said Sunday. "We actually stormed the court twice. There was still time left on the clock so we had to go back to our seats with 2 seconds left."
Jensen created a great memory Friday night when he hit a two-run homer against Madison Bumgarner for his first big-league hit.
