Shutout snaps skid

Anthony DeSclafani pitched his best game of the season so far, stifling the Astros for eight innings on only three hits. Camilo Doval got the save in the 9th. Doval struggled with the pitch clock but managed to get the job done. Joey Bart helped him out with a mound visit before the final strikeout. The Giants offense blew a lot of chances (Houston's pitchers walked nine batters!) but they managed to plate a couple of runs and that turned out to be enough. I remember thinking about half way through the game that it would take a shutout to win, and that's just what happened.
