The San Francisco Giants defeated the Texas Rangers for the second game in a row today, with their 3-1 victory.
The man of the hour was once again Heliot Ramos, who has been on fire lately. Things started off strong in the first inning, as Austin Slater walked to lead things off, before Ramos knocked him in with a single, after a lengthy battle with Rangers starting pitcher Andrew Heaney.
Today’s starting pitcher for the Giants was Spencer Howard, making his first start and third appearance of the season for the Giants.
Howard faced similar struggles to Heaney early on, walking Marcus Semien and Josh Smith to start off the bottom of the first.
