A fake Matt Chapman social media account duped San Francisco Giants fans, and media, into thinking that the third baseman was insulting his former teammate Blake Snell.
Shortly after news broke that Snell agreed to sign with the Dodgers, an account impersonating Chapman posted a photo of the Giants player from this past season with a snake emoji as the caption and the Kodak Black song “Super Gremlin” attached to the post. The lyrics in the highlighted portion of the track go, “We could’ve been superstars (superstars)/Remember when we was jackin' cars (jackin' cars)/Now it’s not safe for you (safe for you)/You switched like a p—y, lil’ b—h.
