The MLB rumor mill has kicked into overdrive since former Giants starter Blake Snell agreed to a deal with the Dodgers on Tuesday night, and his now-former team continues to be linked to the top remaining pitcher available.
The Giants are a team to watch in pursuit of Corbin Burnes, the right-handed starter and 2021 NL Cy Young winner, according to MLB.com insider Mark Feinsand.
“The Giants, who now must replace Snell in their rotation, are believed to have significant interest in Burnes,” Feinsand wrote Tuesday night.
Burnes was born in Bakersfield and played his college ball at Saint Mary’s in Moraga.
