With the San Francisco Giants officially starting spring training down in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Wednesday, social media was flooded with official Giants photos from Day 1.
Photos were almost universally pretty typical — players arriving back at Scottsdale Stadium, throwing and catching bullpens, walking-and-talking and generally just guys being dudes save for one specific image: in newly signed pitcher Jordan Hicks’ right hand, a bag was blurred out.
It’s not hard to figure out that the bag is from Starbucks, both from its standard green-and-white color scheme and from the coffee Hicks is holding in his left hand.
