The SF Giants lost a player on their relief pitching depth chart on Tuesday when the Los Angeles Dodgers claimed right-handed pitcher Jimmie Sherfy off waivers. The Giants designated Sherfy for assignment last week to create a 40-man roster spot for Tyler Beede. Maria Guardado of MLB.com first reported the move.
