It’s only been 15 months since San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval was representing the team in the All-Star Game, but after a trying season, the team may have left an ominous clue about his roster status going forward.
Giants President and CEO Larry Baer sent his season-ending letter to fans Wednesday, thanking the fans for making Oracle Park feel like “home” while lamenting the team’s disappointing 2024 season. After naming Matt Chapman and Logan Webb in the early part of the letter, Baer listed several other current Giants in a paragraph about the team’s “hope and optimism” for the future.
