Former Giants star Barry Bonds is slated to face off against Hall of Famer Derek Jeter in a celebrity softball game during Major League Baseball’s Juneteenth festivities at Rickwood Field.
Bonds and Jeter are co-captains of the exhibition game scheduled to be televised Wednesday on MLB Network. However, they aren’t expected to be the only former major leaguers at the game. Other ex-pro baseball players due to appear include Dusty Baker, CC Sabathia, David Ortiz, Alex Rodriguez, Jimmy Rollins, Dontrelle Willis, Ryan Howard, Adam Jones, LaTroy Hawkins, Dexter Fowler, Michael Bourn and Micah Johnson.
