The San Francisco Giants have guaranteed their partnership with KNBR-AM/FM will make it to 50 years.
Giants President Larry Baer came on to the “Murph and Markus” morning show on Friday morning to announce the team had struck a new deal with its longest-running broadcast partner. The three-year extension is set to go into effect after this season and lock in the team on the station through 2028, with the team's 50th year on KNBR coming in 2028.
It’s certainly an opportune time for the Giants to make the announcement, as the team has started off the new season 5-1 — their best six-game start since 2014, which was the team’s last World Series-winning season.
