The San Francisco Giants typically worry about things at Oracle Park for their paying customers, but they just made a change that will serve fans who don’t even enter the ballpark.
The Giants installed a massive television on their stadium’s portwalk over the weekend, with the TV facing out to McCovey Cove. It means that kayakers and boaters in the waterway now have a way to watch the game.
One of McCovey Cove’s most famous kayakers, Dave Edlund — also known as McCovey Cove Dave — praised the move on social media over the weekend, and in a phone interview with SFGATE on Monday.
