Fans of the San Francisco Giants did not appreciate Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy calling out over-the-top celebrations his team has faced this postseason.
While Sunday’s Dodgers-Padres game was a lopsided 10-2 affair in favor of San Diego, it was quite a heated contest with players jawing at each other, tossing baseballs toward the general vicinity of a dugout and taunting the crowd until fans decided to respond. Speaking with reporters Tuesday, Muncy said the antics were par for the course when facing the Padres.
“That’s definitely part of their game is they try to — as I’ve said, they play off of the emotion,” Muncy said.
