For a man whose privates were blasted all over the internet late last month, San Francisco Giants infielder Casey Schmitt has reportedly been handling the embarrassment well thanks to his, and his girlfriend’s, good sense of humor.
Late last month, Schmitt unintentionally became the ne plus ultra of the issues with MLB’s new uniforms — which Nike and the reviled Fanatics produced — when an image of his clearly outlined balls went viral while he was posing for spring training photos. What the photo showcased to many was just how thin this season’s league-approved baseball pants were, although MLB would later claim they’ve always been this way.
