While it’s not clear whether a 37-year-old Pablo Sandoval will make the San Francisco Giants this season, he at least has an opportunity to do so because of a flurry of “workout videos.”
The former World Series MVP is in camp with his former team as a non-roster invitee in an attempt to make an MLB comeback. Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi jokingly told beat reporters via text Monday that he had no other choice but to bring back the fan favorite player because of Sandoval’s constant conditioning updates.
“We had to sign Pablo because the workout videos he was sending me were taking up all the space on my phone,” Zaidi wrote, per multiple reports.
