The bat that’s gone viral across Major League Baseball will now hit Oracle Park stands a month later than expected — and no, we’re not talking about torpedo bats.
The wildly popular beer bat, a souvenir plastic bat that can hold 16 or 24 ounces of your favorite ale or non-alcoholic beverage, was not available for purchase Friday during the San Francisco Giants’ home opener against the Seattle Mariners.
This comes despite an announcement last month from Aramark, the Giants’ concessionaire, stating the beer bat would be available at Oracle Park by Opening Day.
