For the past week, a longtime nemesis of the San Francisco Giants has been looming over the heart of the city.
Corey Seager, the former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop and current Texas Rangers star, has been plastered on a billboard at the Metreon mall on Fourth Street, looking directly at the Moscone Center’s West building all week. Seager and the Rangers won the World Series last year; he is holding up the World Series trophy on the billboard.
The reason for this sky-high thumb in the eye of Giants fans is San Francisco-based artificial intelligence company Databricks, which calls itself the “world’s first data intelligence platform powered by generative AI.
