SAN FRANCISCO — On Sunday morning, Bruce Bochy expects to welcome four-to-five players into the home clubhouse at Oracle Park.
He’ll greet them with a handshake, explain their roles for the next month and tell them exactly what he’s explained to every September call-up for the last 25 years.
Bochy’s door is always open.
When rosters expand next September, a new manager will sit in the office tucked just inside the entrance to the Giants’ clubhouse and go through the same ritual.
By that point in time, some of the inexperienced players the Giants will feature this September could be regular starters for a team that will undoubtedly look different a year from now.
