For two teams who met in the National League Wild Card last season, 2017 just hasn’t worked out the way they had hoped.
Matt Moore, who was an integral part of the 2016 post-season run by the Giants, continued his poor 2017. Moore did not last into the fifth inning and his season ERA is now 6.04.
The Giants lineup also continued to stay cold, only scoring one run against rookie Rafael Montero. The two runs came on a bases loaded sacrifice fly and a bases loaded fielder’s choice from the Giants only potential All-Star, Buster Posey.
