SAN FRANCISCO -- Fresh off his Gold Glove award last week, the San Francisco Giants have signed shortstop Brandon Crawford to a new contract.
The deal is for six years and $75 million, two baseball sources confirmed to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick. The team announced the deal Tuesday but did not reveal terms.
The contract runs through the 2021 season and covers his two remaining years of arbitration and four years of free agency.
A reliable glove in the middle of the infield, Crawford has shown his range at the position as well as growth on defense and at the plate.
