San Francisco Giants broadcaster Duane Kuiper returned to the airwaves for the first time since his wife Michelle died Feb. 20, and he thanked his friends and KNBR listeners for their support.
“It’s good to be back,” Kuiper said on KNBR's “Murph and Mac Show” on Wednesday morning. “It’s not such a bad idea when you lose a loved one to take a little time. That’s what I did and that’s what I’m doing with spring training games. I’ve got such great partners to pick up the slack.”
For this upcoming season, Kuiper, along with his broadcast partner Mike Krukow, will call all home games and 20 road games from a Bay Area studio.
