According to Heyman, the San Francisco Giants have agreed to pay Gillaspie $1.4 million in 2017.
Gillaspie, the former first round pick of the Giants, came back to San Francisco in 2016 as a utility player. He took over the starting third baseman job after Matt Duffy was traded and Eduardo Nunez was injured.
