San Francisco Giants: Analyzing the final three managerial candidates

The San Francisco Giants have a hole left vacant at their managerial position following the retirement of longtime coaching legend Bruce Bochy. And if reports are to be believed, the team is down to their final three candidates for the job.

NBC Sports’ Alex Pavlovic reports that have narrowed their managerial search to three targets — Houston Astros bench coach Joe Espada, former Philadelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler, and Kansas City Royals quality control and catching coach Pedro Grifol.

This comes as a bit of a surprise given the fact that many presumed that Oakland Athletics quality control coach Mark Kotsay was the favorite for the position as previous reports indicated.
