With two outs and one runner on base in the fifth inning, Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija unloaded on a ball for a two-run blast against the Rockies Friday night at Coors Field.
Right after Samardzija knocked one into orbit over the right-center field wall, he gave a gloriously aggressive bat flip and then screamed as he crossed home plate.

Even more impressive, Samardzija made history with his home run. Major League Baseball's tracking system Statcast saw the ball go 446 feet, the longest home run hit by a pitcher in the Statcast era, which started in 2015.
