PHOENIX -- Outfielder Austin Slater probably could make the drive from Sacramento to San Francisco on autopilot.
He has been recalled from the Triple-A River Cats four times this season, and his biggest contribution came in his fifth start Friday.
Slater had three hits, including two RBI doubles, when the Giants continued their best month in two seasons with a 2-1 victory over Arizona on Friday.
Slater's first double gave the Giants a 1-0 lead in the second inning, and his second broke a tie in the seventh inning when the Giants extended their hot run in the first game of a three-game series against the National League West-leading D-backs at Chase Field.
