The San Francisco Giants begin a quick cross-bay series against the Oakland Athletics tonight from Oracle Park.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be left-hander Robbie Ray, making his second start for the Giants. His first start was a great one, in their 8-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers last Wednesday, in which he allowed one run (but no hits) with eight strikeouts and two walks in five innings pitched.
He’ll be facing off against A’s left-hander JP Sears, who enters today’s game with a 4.81 ERA, 4.82 FIP, with 83 strikeouts to 32 walks in 112.
