SAN FRANCISCO — This ballpark has robbed Brandon Belt of so many homers, so many opportunities to jog around the bases and soak up the cheers and add to stats that would be far better if he played anywhere else.
But Belt didn’t mind on Thursday that the dimensions took two homers off his baseball card. He was happy to sprint around the bases and pick up two triples, happy to break from a lengthy slump in a 13-8 Giants win over the Padres. And later, with a little nudging, he was happy to talk about his speed.
