After losing Ryan Madson to the A's Sunday, the Royals wasted little time replacing him.
Late Sunday night, Kansas City reunited with free agent reliever Joakim Soria on a three-year, $25 million deal, according to multiple national reports.
Soria broke into the major leagues with Royals in 2007.
News emerged Monday afternoon that the Giants and Tigers were reportedly the runners up for Soria's services, according to CBS Sports.

While it's fairly clear that the Giants' priorities this offseason are the starting rotation and left field, they did lose trusted veteran Jeremy Affeldt to retirement.
