The Dodgers are trading veteran catcher Carlos Ruiz to the Mariners, according to multiple national reports.
Ruiz, who turns 38 in January, put on a different uniform other than that of the Phillies for the first time in his 11-year career last season. The Dodgers swapped catchers in August as Ruiz went west and Clayton Kershaw's former personal catcher A.J. Ellis was sent to Philadelphia.
