Report: With Mariners deal off, Ishikawa headed to White Sox

(USATSI)

Former Giants postseason hero Travis Ishikawa thought he had a home with the Mariners earlier this offseason.

But that deal reportedly fell apart at the end of January.

Now, 10 days later, it appears the 32-year-old has settled on a new team. The first baseman/outfielder has agreed to a minor league deal with the White Sox, according to CSNChicago.com.

The agreement includes an invite to major league spring training.

After hitting a three-run walk-off home run to send the Giants to the World Series in 2014, Ishikawa began the 2015 season with San Francisco, but was designated for assignment in July to make room for Ryan Lollis.
